Gauntlet vol.2

Promo code : Chalua

Multiple Gauntlet Types
Both internally and in the forums, people raised the idea that we could potentially keep running the Gauntlet system, but have multiple “versions.” This would allow players to retain their rewards for longer but also giving us the ability to summon it more frequently. We’re moving ahead with this system, starting with the Gauntlet we’re summoning this month.

We’re giving Gauntlets a special name now, which will help separate them from one another. The first Gauntlet we summoned back in June is now known as Gauntlet [West Kruna], whereas the Gauntlet this month will be known as Gauntlet [Chalua].

Rewards earned in Gauntlet [West Kruna] will not be removed with the summon of Gauntlet [Chalua].

Rewards from Gauntlet [West Kruna] will be removed when we summon Gauntlet [West Kruna] again in the future (we’re still internally discussing this date).

Leaderboard rewards from Gauntlet [West Kruna] and Gauntlet [Chalua] will be generally the same (same Magics, Neck items, etc) but will have additional text added so you know which Gauntlet you’ve earned them in. The Magics will not stack with each other! If you have SMITE from Gauntlet [West Kruna], it absolutely won’t benefit you to also own SMITE from Gauntlet [Chalua]. Not only can you personally not apply both to the same raid, but, as it is the same Magic, only one version of SMITE will be allowed on any given raid; again, no double benefit here. In the future, we’d like to vary these rewards up a bit more between each different Gauntlet type.

In summary:
  • Gauntlets will now receive special names to separate them from one another; qualifying rewards from one Gauntlet to the next are only removed if it’s the same Gauntlet type.
  • Neck items do stack.
  • Magics do not stack.
  • Rewards from the Gauntlet summoned in June will not be removed with the Gauntlet being summoned this month, as they are different Gauntlet types.
  • The other changes we mentioned in the SoTG (leaderboard ranks, etc) are still planned to go in despite this additional change.

Deadly Raids

A Deadly Raid is very similar to an Elite raid, but will typically have the following features:
  • Very large health pool
  • Long cooldown
  • High damage against players
  • Awards Achievement Points
  • Provides a hefty amount of SP
  • Reused or slightly varied boss art from other, regular raids
  • It’s not part of a limited time event and can be crafted using Citadel ingredients so it's permanent.
