Free Generals
Out of the approximately 502 generals, 257 can be acquired freely without using PC. Removing Event and World Raid (Event Raid) generals, the total number of generals that can be acquired freely, at any time, narrows down to 200.
This blog post is just a snapshot of what’s out there, narrowed down to what may be the most useful to new players. To see the full lists, take a peek at the full sheet or the full spreadsheet.

Valentin the Pure

Valentin is a good starting vs demon general. At least while you work your way through Red Snows trying to get the 200 Red Snow Warriors to craft Sigga!

Notes
Citadel Master Hunforth
Tuxargus

See if you can’t snag this guy. His attack and defense increase by 20 per citadel book owned and you are going to be going after citadel books. He ends up being a 740/940 gen!
| |
Enki the Old
The Bog Bodies
Leveling, Aquatic
By himself Enki will increase the player’s energy by 40. If you stick him with Naram (crafting from preserved skulls), he’ll also give you 20 honor. To top all that, he’s good against aquatics.
Naram the Wise
Crafting - Preserved Skulls (Hit Bog Bodies with Ancient Hero Set equipped)

Notes
Coppin the Mercenary
NMQ (Hard)

Not only a Dev, Logann is great at hitting things in general. As an added bonus, his attack and defense increase by 35 per unique Dragon Mount owned.
| |
Riftia
MaM (Hard, Gold Node - Magma Worm)
Campaign, Guild, Leveling
Not only does Riftia give the player 20 honor, she also does bonus damage against both Campaigns and Guild Raids. Keep an eye out for MaM gold nodes!
