Regrettably Suns is shutting down, effective February 29th

Over the course of the past few months, we’ve tried to maintain and open and honest dialogue with you regarding the status of Suns, both financially and otherwise. We’ve taken your feedback, discussed it at great length internally, and poured over countless spreadsheets, logs, and rows of data for the game. After a great deal of discussion, it has become clear to us that, as hard as it is for us to say this, Suns will not be able to make the turnaround necessary to sustain itself and we will need to shut it down.

As we’ve indicated in previous posts, we’ve sincerely been working hard to avoid this scenario. Suns is a special game; the fact that it has been live for so long is a testament to that. Very few games from the era when Suns was started are still around, let alone have been updated with as much content over the years. The unfortunate truth is that there’s simply no recovery for Suns at this point; the trending loss of players and revenue over the past several years has cut too deep, even after we’ve explored and simulated an exhausting number of options and scenarios.  

As we look to the future and fondly remember the past, we want to thank you all for sharing this once in a lifetime, amazing journey with us. It has been a wild ride, filled with peaks and valleys, tears of joy, tears of frustration, friendships, and adventures. While we wish the circumstances were different, we’ve been honored to share this journey with you, the players who made the dream of Suns into a reality for over five years. 

Purchasing has been disabled, but we’ve put together several Welcome Bundles for our other games as outlined below. As you can see, we’ve created tiers based on investments of both time and money into the game. By submitting a Support Ticket, you will receive the highest tier you qualify for as follows (so if your level puts you in Tier 2 but your purchase history puts you in Tier 3, you will receive tier 3 )
